2D Design: Still Life Selfies
Students in 2D Design brought in personal items that represented their upbringing, personality, identity, values, desires, hobbies, and culture. They then positioned the items and photographed them. From there, the students used the photo as a guide for their own still life selfies. Peep the videos above the and the PDF below to see the behind the scenes and the final product of this awesome art project.

6th Grade Civic Duty Posters
How will you impact your world?
The sixth grade student in the Humanities class taught by Ms. Lefferts has taken on civic issues through adopting a Civic Action Project. Students need to identify an issue in the school, their community, or the world, where they wanted to make a difference. After deciding on their civic issue, students are beginning to take action. Here is the first step. Students created Civic Action Posters to increase awareness of their issue. The goal is to let the public know why the civic issue is important, how the issue impacts the community/world, how people can make a difference, and facts about the issue.
The project will last throughout the first semester and possibly beyond. If you are interested in getting involved or want to learn more about these Civic Action Projects, you can contact Ms. Lefferts at leffertsk@nclack.k12.or.us.
