Roof Beam Poems (7th Grade)

2017-2018 Roof Beams Poems.pdf

To start the year, 7th graders in Mrs. Vernon, Ms. Friedman, and Mr. Dix's class followed the structure of Pablo Neruda's poem "Los Nombres" to write about their roofbeams. The students defined roofbeams as people (or pets) in their lives that held them up, protected them, and provided shelter no matter whether the weather was rain or shine.
